Inspiration from the song by John Mayer.

"Scared of the world outside,
you should go explore,
Pull all the shades
and wander the great indoors...

...Lamplight makes the shadows play,
and posters take the walls away,
the TV is your window pane,
the view won't let you down."

While designing this shot with a doodle in class this afternoon, i realised i could also use a piece such as this in an assignment i currently have due soon, using the colour blue. So with this motivation i started creating this evening. I found it hard to define what category to place this in, its all photography by me but it's been manipulated to an extent that turns it into digi art

Anyway i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed creating it. I love creating photos to go with song lyrics.

Ah, irony. Love it.
Though, I don't know if JM has the same capacity for sarcasm that this picture seems to be, er, emitting. Then again, I don't like J.Mayer and avoid him at all costs, which pretty much negates and credibility I may have had. So nevermind--good work!

Anyhow...
From a technical standpoint, you could probably improve the realism by adding some more depth to the TV screen. Y'know, add a highlight and some light shading just to give it that convex effect. Hardly important, though.
In any event: nice job; I like it.

PS - The chair is fine.

lol. thanks very much the fact you avoid JM at all costs makes this picture a success if it still compels you.
The only reason i don't have a highlight in the image is because it was for a tafe assignment about one certain colour so yeah...

Hey there Stranger. Love it as always... Might seem a stupid question, but im not pro like you... Howd you get the picture of the sky on there? PS also agree with Luke. Maybe a stool would look better, its kind of crowded and distracting atm.

Nice shot and manip. I recognize those bricks from somewhere

I think however the simplicity and forwardness of the tv could have been improved by perhaps a more simple chair?

Anyway, nice work. I've still got basically no good ideas for my digital assignment to manipulate something...

I don't know. But in truth this was never designed to be a 'simple' shot, there can be a small understanding in most parts of this image if you read the text. But yeah, thanks mate.
